This midnight blue earthen floor was created by applying a pigmented alis over the original poured adobe floor (also known as earthen or mud floor) once it has sufficiently dried.
The effect of this top coat tint applied to the earthen floor is stunning. And was even more so after it was dried and sealed to protect it with multiple coats of boiled linseed oil.
