Seen here are grey metro tiles we installed in the large walk-in shower. The shower is large enough to hold a bench. So it was thought a glass partition for water splash was not needed.
To keep with the overall color scheme in the home, the grey tiles were grouted black for a dramatic effect. It did create a very unique look.
We caution when budgeting might be a concern to consider larger tiles which have been a recent trend. Having us install more than 900 tiles by hand as we did here on the walls alone – added quite a bit of cost to this custom shower.
Putting metro tiles in small areas such as behind kitchen counters and stoves is a much more cost effective design idea unless money is no object.
