Seen here – the small portal attached to the house portal connecting to the garage.
The corrugated metal portal provides weather protection between the house and the one car garage. A small cement walk leads from the front door – framed by the steel support beams of the portal.
The garage walls were created using Eterna block. The interior walls were plastered with one coat of lime plaster. Eterna blocks are an insulated ICF we typically use instead of the poured pumice-crete used for the main house. It was our first time rasing walls using formed pumice-crete and it should be noted we will not be repeating the process in the future.
