This minimalist front door is similar to some styles seen in Europe. A small vertical window is embedded in a simple metal door design.
The corrugated metal portal has steel posts which connect to the separate garage. Seen lower right – a large steel support which was allowed to rust. Rust collecting on exposed steel is a detail welcomed by the owner.
The portal covers a small cement walkway connecting the house and garage. Like the interior of the home, dark grey tones were chosen for the roofing and soffits. Added to the dark grey windows and doors – the look contrasts the plaster color seen on many homes in the area.
