This image shows the walkway leading from the house to garage. And clearly shows the metal portal created for weather protection. The steel posts in the foreground solidly hold the corrugated grey metal roofing. Seasonal high winds blow sweep down this plot of land, so the portal protection will be welcomed over time.
The house has overhangs a bit beyond a standard 2 feet. Water collection from the roof leads to an underground storage tank. The tank and water collection passes below the small walk slab shown here. The tank holds 10,000 gallons with overflow leading out to a large collection pond. On those days when monsoon rains move through the area.
The HOA required an underground storage tank verses an above ground. Both options are available when we install water collection tanks when HOA restrictions do no apply to a plot of land.
