This image of exercise room acid stain cement floor features the contrasting colors of the stain, walls and T&G. The wall colors were chosen to have a slight contrast. The three main walls are a light sage green while this feature wall is a darker green. Tongue and groove white pine provides a light contrast on the ceiling.

The flooring choice was a simple one, acid stain. Upon taking a tour of a prior project of ours, our friends chose a coppery tone we used in a photography studio we created north of Santa Fe. The floors have in-floor radiant heating installed to keep them toasty in the winter.

The house throughout has high end rustic touches throughout, as is often the case in Santa Fe styled homes. So the trims from walls to floor and around the doors are simply square joints verses a miter joint. We installed a few sun tunnel sun lights in this room and a series of inset LED tubes throughout. Those in addition to the double sliding door create an overall lightness to the room throughout the day.
