The grey tiled shower stall with large tiles in the field and mosaic accents.
This custom shower stall has quite a bit going on. Handles were installed on both walls for the elderly couple who will be living here. The shower faucet also contained a re-moveable hand held feature to use with a sit down shower chair.
One small and one larger shelf (niche) were built into the shower wall. For keeping plenty of shower sundries close at hand. The mosaics were placed in the back of the niches to match the overall design.
Large marble (looking) grey tiles were chosen for the base for the entire bathroom. Mosaics were then added to add a bit of design interest. The grey mosaics have varied tones. Drawing together both the large tiles and the floor tiles – a light grey with wood pattern.
Brushed nickel components were used throughout this bathroom, mirroring the grey aspects. The walls were painted a subtle blue to contrast the many grey toned tiles.
The new design in this small bathroom managed to pack in plenty of elements. A new mechanical room was added to house a new hot water heater. The alignment of the shower stall, toilet and vanity was designed for maximum us – in a minimum space. A pocket door was framed in to allow for easy entry and exit. And again to maximize space.
