A detailed image of the rustic living room light fixture.

We helped the family choose the light fixtures, tiles and cabinets used during this home renovation. This rustic chic light is a favorite. Aged glass showing the bulbs is a new trend we are seeing often lately.

Wooden strips above and below with black metal detailing gives a wagon wheel look to the drop down mounted light fixture.

In this new renovated living room earthen plasters were added to the repaired adobe walls using the reddish tinted clay soil harvested locally. Local clay soils often do not require added pigments or clay. In our area we can harvest local soils rich in clay that make perfect earthen plasters and have the choice of choosing different pigmented soils. Found in arroyos or on the land are sources when we harvest soil.

As seen in prior gallery images, we kept the old ceiling intact. By keeping the original rough-sawn wood planks and vigas we were able to save quite a bit of cost.
