This image shows the large windows and sliding doors providing sweeping views. Corner floor to ceiling windows are currently a very popular trend. They require a far amount of structural support work to make them viable. Large windows in general can provide a bit of a challenge – long headers need to be created for successful installation.

These windows were commercial grade framed with aluminum. It was the first time we installed these types of window – our usual style well made metal clad framed wood. We found that these windows did flex a very tiny bit during extreme weather shifts. It did provide a challenge due to the plaster connecting directly to the windows.

The large window right has lower louvers which will open to vent fresh air when needed. Image left highlights a sliding glass door leading to the small portal with privacy wall.
