Seen in this image is the hand milled plank created for the interior entry. We mill the planks from our white pine trees and keep the native edge as part of the organic aesthetic. The milled pine planks were also installed for each of the window sills.
A healthy hard oil was applied to each plank, and then eco-wax applied and buffed to provide waterproofed protection. The beauty of applying an oil blend to pine planks is to watch them become more golden, naturally over time. We have pine plank window sills in our own home, as well as for the tops of our stair risers.
