Shown in this image is the graphic tiled half wall in front of the small fireplace. The patterned tiles were from a Moroccan tile company. The tiles are made from unsealed tinted cement, so were roughly a quarter inch thick. The half wall was created using cinder blocks as requested by the homeowner.
We suggested the edges of the tiled walls be finished off using metal āLā sticks as a clean edged trim. We have used metal edges on a prior kitchen project which also had thick tiles that needed to be finished well. The result worked on our prior project- so we thought it would work here. It did tie the entire style of the industrial look of the house together.
This colorful graphic tiled half wall provides privacy. Between the open floor plan kitchen and living room and bedroom and bath areas.
