The corner meets the step in this hardwood tile transition to the new sun room in this adobe house in Chimayo, New Mexico. A broad view of the saltillo tiles under the plants, as they meet up against the hardwood floor we installed. Norbert created the gentle wood transition piece at the edge of the hardwood floor. And Carolyn designed the tile riser from the left over saltillo pieces to match the African patterns reflected throughout the house.
This image shows the brightness of the sun room during sunset and features only a few of the hundreds of plants of the botanist who lived there. Bright and crisp colors chosen using low VOC paints. Reds of the healthy teak stain used to refresh the posts and windows in the living room combined sun room add a lovely, elegant and organic feel to the entire space. The end results were beautiful – we all were pleased with the outcome.
