Featured between the sun room and living space is folk art on a custom door, a hand-crafted arched entry double door. The collaboration beautifully combines the unique Spanish folk artwork of Nicholas Herrera who joined Norbert on this project. The art tells the painted and hand written story of the history of our land which was homesteaded in the 1800’s by Nicholas’ family and plays homage to their efforts. The final door is a piece of art in more than one way – combing the talent and skills of these two amazing craftsmen, friends and neighbors. The unique piece creates a focal point to the entire room and we are eternally grateful to Nick for showing the story of the land for all to remember, honor and see for years to come.
