This slate tile-stone back splash combination for our kitchen is one of our favorites looks. Using not only the organic colors and mottled look of slate tiles for the kitchen window sills and floors, we added these small, soft rounded ocean stones harvested for the sole purpose to provide a unique back splash for the kitchen counter.
The custom gray cement counter tops, which follow the contours of the curved kitchen wall, work extremely well against the burgundy walls finished with earthen plaster. The windows are custom crafted with white pine lumber hand-milled on the land – all created by Norbert.
