The courtyard living room floors made of hardwood in this converted space adds a contemporary feel to this older adobe home in Chimayo, New Mexico. We laid the flooring locally sourced, and used healthy stains and finishes to create this lovely new floor which contrasts nicely with the older saltillo tiles bordering the outside of the area.
This view shows the bright new paint choices which will be matched and enhanced by the fabrics chosen to recover the antique chairs and couch. By enclosing the courtyard by giving it a roof and step down, a living and sun room created a fabulous view and gave this south facing room incredible light. A large skylight above adds to the brightness of the room as well.
