Bedroom poured adobe floor repair – shown here. The newly poured earthen floor (aka poured adobe) in the guest bedroom. This floor as well had deep cracks due to an inferior mix. We find that often those pouring mud floors will not apply a solid sub-floor. An unstable base under a thin top coat of any mud, adobe or earthen floor will crack. It is almost a guarantee.
We applied the needed oil coats to seal this floor. And then applied a wax finish. This casita often gets a fair amount of traffic with guests, so needs extra care.
