This earthen floor tinted blue was created by applying a pigmented aliz (aka alis) over the original poured adobe (earthen floor aka mud floor) once it has sufficiently dried. The client desired a midnight blue color which came about by adding three tints to the aliz.
The effect of this tint when applied and sealed with linseed oil to water proof the floor was stunning. We were very pleased with the results, and it seems that everyone who sees it agrees with how beautiful it is.
