In this pumice block home, the master bathroom included a circular nook built to hold and surround the jacuzzi tub. The desired look for the bath was rich, earthen tones throughout with a dash of whimsy when designing the tiles. Carolyn worked closely with the owner joining her on trips to the tile store to find the tiles to help create her vision.
The bathroom walls are plastered with a custom tinted lime plaster we created for our client, which gives not only a good amount of protection for the walls, but is water proof as well. The overall look to the bathroom with it’s warm browns and copper tones is very inviting.
Throughout this entire highly insulated home, we installed radiant in-floor heating below all of the surfaces. We created custom tinted poured adobe aka earthen floors in the kitchen/living areas, and all of the bedrooms as well. The earthen floors throughout give this home a very casual comfort which combines nicely with the upscale detailing.
