Straw bale north wall-shown here. This highly insulated stick framed home has it’s completed straw bale north wall. We only feature here the section of the home we were involved on. However the two story, modestly sized home has some very nice touches. It also has a great view, given it sits on the edge of a 2000 acre part just north of Denver. We are always happy when families decide to design smaller homes. Efforts were made to make this home as green and environmentally friendly as fit the needs of the clients. We see and know that those definitions very to quite a degree from one family to the next. Even the smallest bit of mindfulness when it comes to energy use, or sustainable issues, in our minds, is a good thing.
We will be returning to this project in the spring of 2017 to provide custom interior and exterior lime plasters. Stay tuned!
