A view of the rustic cement counter top and smooth ocean stone back splash in the background with kitchen cabinet fronts. The kitchen cabinet fronts are made from recycled metal roofing from an old home (taken from one of our job sites) roof renovation. Uncolored other than adding a sealant to protect them, the rusted tones and rustic appearance are all original to the worn panels.
The rusty tones of the custom earthen plastered walls combined with the rusty panels in contrast to the greys in the counter top and stone back splash, all make for a dramatic look in this kitchen. The cement counter was created by us with the intention of a rustic, not highly polished look, complete with slight air bubbles and raw aspects in the edging.
