This earthen floor plaster transition shows the crisp finished walls and floors as they meet at the wooden trim spot. We found good soil onsite to for the custom tinted earthen plasters and poured adobe floors for this room and the others for this project. We were happy the clay content for all of the needed mixes was good and we even found some unique colors and mixes.

This project south of Santa Fe was a large conference center on private land, which was concept entire by the client and his team of creative helpers. The building was made of poured pumice crete and therefore required us to cover them in a cob mud coat in order for the earthen plasters to adhere well. We then applied 2 brown coats of plaster to bring the walls to a good leveling point. They were then ready to receive the final coats of plaster.
