This image features the tinted red/orange, dark blue contrasting colors earthen floors and earthen plasters side by side. This small cob sun room in this hybrid straw bale house was created to become a heat storage room, combined mud room. It serves also as a pre-entry to the main living space and keeps any drafting from the very warm main living space.
This room served also as a bit of an experimental room with colors in the floors and walls and has a bit more organic flair than the rest of the house which is subdued by contrast.
