Brick flooring sun room – shown here. We stripped and re-sealed the brick flooring in the large sun room. This sun room was designed to be a passive solar aspect of this older adobe home. The adobe walls and bricks get plenty of direct sunlight. They build up heat throughout the day. The result is more warmth in winter. When this room is closed off with it’s doors leading into the main living room, it keeps the heat out of the home. The result is cooler temperatures in the house in summer. This was – we hear – one of the first passive solar homes designed and built in Santa Fe.

Stripping and resealing this floor was an easy process. We used healthy strippers and a sealant which had low VOC aspects. We use such products not only for the health of the home, but for our clients and honestly, ourselves.
