This image shows the banco plaster drying – the darker spots at the bottom not quite completely dry. We created the custom gold kaolin plaster by working with the interior designer on the project. We color matched from a tinted swatch to create the gold tone. The client and designer both chose this warm tone to compliment the bright pinks on the opposing painted walls. Cushions will be placed in the indented bench area shown which will serve as a main focal point for the room and a conversation pit, as it were.
We apply a sealant upon our kaolin walls. And also place an additive in the mix. Our desire – to give it as much strength as we can. It is especially important in high traffic areas in any home.
