Facing the front, the complexity of the design of this adobe home in Sedona, Arizona we built beginning in 2005. The exterior walls and some of the interior walls were built out of adobe blocks which are perfect for this hot desert climate, while the interior walls are mostly sheet rocked. We created custom kaolin clay plasters and custom tinted lime plasters for two of the bathrooms. The inside flooring was tile on the first floor and hardwood on the second. The house created an interesting challenge with five roof levels, a curved adobe entry wall, and parapets galore. This adobe home is one of our favorites, given the detailing and color choices throughout.
